Gorgias vs Richpanel: Which Fits Your Store?

Gorgias vs Richpanel compared on pricing model, AI, channels, integrations and self-service, using each vendor's own pricing page.

Gorgias and Richpanel differ most in how they charge. Gorgias prices its helpdesk by monthly ticket volume and never per agent, with its AI Agent billed per automated interaction. Richpanel prices its helpdesk plans per user per month and sells self-service separately, in tiers based on monthly orders. So the choice usually comes down to whether your cost is driven by ticket volume or by team size. The figures below come from each vendor's own pricing page, captured on 13 October 2026.

Gorgias publishes a price per automated interaction. Richpanel's pricing page shows several plan tables that change with the billing toggle and the product selected, so the AI rate is not stated here. Confirm it on the page before you budget.

How Gorgias prices its helpdesk and AI Agent

Gorgias lists four priced plans, Starter, Basic, Pro and Advanced, which include 50, 300, 2,000 and 5,000 tickets a month, plus an Enterprise offer with custom pricing. Beyond the allowance you pay overage: $0.40 per ticket on Starter, $40 per 100 tickets on Basic, and $36 per 100 on Pro and Advanced.

Basic is $60 a month billed monthly, or $50 a month billed annually ($600 a year), and includes 300 tickets and 30 automated AI interactions. Pro includes 2,000 tickets and 190 automated AI interactions.

The AI Agent is priced separately from the ticket allowance. Gorgias charges $0.90 per interaction on annual plans or $1.00 on monthly plans, and each AI interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket and is billed accordingly. Interactions above the plan's included allowance cost $1.50 each.

That double count is the number to model. A store that wants AI to resolve most conversations pays for the interaction and uses up ticket allowance at the same time, so the ticket tier you pick should reflect your expected AI volume, as well as your human-handled volume.

How Richpanel prices its helpdesk and self-service

Richpanel's Free, Starter and Pro helpdesk plans are each priced per user per month. Free is $0 per user and includes 3 seats and 50 AI Assists per company. Starter is $29 per user per month, or $20 billed annually. Pro is $99 per user per month, or $85 billed annually. Separately, the page lists a Base plan at $9 a month for 3 users, described as an alternative to Shopify Inbox.

Self-service is a separate product. Richpanel prices it in tiers by monthly order volume, and the Base tier covers up to 1,000 orders a month.

One caution from capturing the page: Richpanel's pricing page holds several plan tables for the helpdesk and for self-service, with monthly and yearly toggles. A second fetch of the same URL returned a different layout from the first. So we quote the helpdesk table as captured. Treat any per-seat figure you read in a third-party comparison, including this one, as something to confirm on the live page.

AI, channels and Shopify depth

On AI, Gorgias markets an AI Agent on every plan and a pre-sales Shopping Assistant, alongside Order Management automation. Richpanel's AI is Sidekick, which auto-replies to repetitive queries and helps agents draft replies.

On channels, both cover the usual set. Gorgias lists email, live chat, SMS, voice, social, contact form and TikTok Shop. Richpanel lists email, live chat, SMS, phone, Facebook, Instagram and reviews in one inbox.

On integrations, Gorgias states 254 app integrations plus HTTP and custom integrations. On Shopify, its plan comparison table lists Shopify and Shopify Plus, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and its feature list names Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and WooCommerce with multi-store support. Richpanel's captured pricing page mentions Shopify only where it describes the $9 Base listing as an alternative to Shopify Inbox, so it does not show how deep the Shopify integration goes. Richpanel's captured pricing page does not list third-party integrations, so we make no claim about its breadth. That is a gap in our evidence, not a verdict on the product.

On self-service, Richpanel lists returns and exchanges, a branded help center and agent hand-off. Gorgias lists Order Management automation. If a customer-facing returns portal is your priority, compare the two live demos side by side, because the pricing pages do not show how deep each goes.

Which helpdesk fits which store

Pick the pricing model that matches how your costs grow.

  • A large team with modest ticket volume. Gorgias does not price the helpdesk per agent.
  • A small team with high volume. Richpanel's Pro plan is priced per user, so headcount drives that bill.
  • A store that wants AI to resolve most conversations. Model Gorgias's per-interaction charge together with the ticket it also counts as.
  • A brand that needs a returns and exchanges portal. Look closely at Richpanel's self-service product.

If you are weighing a third helpdesk, our Gorgias vs Zendesk vs Freshdesk comparison covers the other common options. If you are already on one and considering the other, Richpanel's pricing page offers to migrate tickets and data from Gorgias. For wider options, see our guide to Gorgias alternatives.

Where an action-taking agent layer fits on top of either

A helpdesk is one layer; an agent that carries a case across systems is another, and our roundup of AI customer service tools for e-commerce covers that category. CorePiper builds AI agents that resolve customer issues end-to-end: damage claims, returns, lost packages, size exchanges and order-status questions, from the incoming ticket to the replacement order.

It runs one workflow across tools including Shopify, Zendesk and Freshdesk, without separate agents for each tool. Routine cases run on their own, and people approve exceptions and high-impact actions. When a person approves, rejects or corrects an action, CorePiper updates the skill for future cases.

Pricing is by outcome. A resolved case is a workflow run that completes end-to-end against the defined SOP and is not taken over by a human within 24 hours, with no per-message, per-token or per-step fees. Starter is $10 a month billed annually for 5 resolved cases, then $3.00 per resolved case. Pro is $99 a month billed annually for 75 resolved cases, then $2.00 per resolved case. CorePiper's site claims 30 to 55 percent lower case processing costs; that is the company's own claim, not an independent measurement.

CorePiper does not replace a helpdesk. See the Gorgias comparison and the Richpanel comparison for how the two fit together.

Conclusion

Choose Gorgias if ticket volume is the number that drives your costs and you want a published per-interaction AI price. Choose Richpanel if team size drives your costs or a self-service returns portal matters most. Verify Richpanel's current pricing on its live page, because the captured page varied. Whichever you pick, model AI charges together with ticket allowance before you commit.
